our STORY
In 2014, Andrew and Liz Porter set out to do something quietly ambitious in Charlotte: build a true grain-to-glass distillery, where every bottle started as North Carolina wheat, corn, and barley milled in-house. They named it after Andrew's grandfather, Dr. Richard Porter, and for years they made spirits in a tucked-away warehouse in LoSo, hand milling grain by day and pulling late nights at the still.
In 2020, the building was sold, the world shifted, and the Porters made the decision to sunset the distillery and put family first.
But before they closed the doors, they laid down their finest barrels, calling it The Last Call.
The Last Call
In the final months of 2020, the team filled their final barrels with bourbon, rye, and malt whiskey. Spirits made to be forgotten about for years, then remembered. Spirits that needed time.
And now, those barrels are ready.
This is the Last Call. A finite release of the most patient whiskey Doc Porter's ever made. When these bottles are gone, they are gone for good.
