A bright, easy bourbon lemonade made with honey syrup, fresh lemon, and mint. Built as a small punch, this recipe is made for warm-weather gatherings and backyard pours.
Batch Size
Makes 64 oz (10 servings)
Ingredients
12.5 oz Doc Porter's Bourbon
8 oz fresh lemon juice
8 oz honey syrup
24 oz cold water
Ice, as needed
1 small bunch of fresh mint
Lemon wheels, for garnish
Honey Syrup
4 oz honey
4 oz hot water
Stir honey and hot water together until fully dissolved. Chill before using.
Instructions
Make the honey syrup and let it cool.
In a pitcher or drink dispenser, combine bourbon, lemon juice, honey syrup, and cold water.
Stir well.
Add ice just before serving.
Garnish with lemon wheels and fresh mint.
Taste and adjust with more cold water if you want it lighter.
Serving Note
For the best flavor, serve very cold over plenty of ice. Lightly slap the mint before adding it to the pitcher to release the aroma, but do not muddle it into the batch.
