Toddy Mix

    •    6 oz Doc Porter’s Straight Bourbon

    •    8 oz hot water (just below boiling)

    •    2 oz apple cider (optional but great)

    •    1 oz fresh lemon juice

    •    1 cinnamon stick

    •    1 strip lemon peel

    •    1 strip orange peel studded w/ 2–3 whole cloves

INGREDIENTS (Serves 4)

Butter Batter

    •    2 Tbsp unsalted butter

    •    2 Tbsp brown sugar

    •    1 tsp honey

    •    1 pinch cinnamon

    •    1 pinch clove

    •    1 pinch nutmeg

    •    Tiny pinch of salt

    •    1–2 drops vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

    1.    Make the Butter Batter:Mix the butter, brown sugar, honey, spices, and vanilla into a smooth paste.

    2.    Build the Toddy: Put batter into small pot or heat-safe pitcher. Add the hot water, whisk until dissolved.

    3.    Add the Rest: Stir in the Doc Porter’s Bourbon, apple cider, and lemon juice.

    4.    Add Aromatics: Drop in cinnamon stick, lemon peel, and clove-studded orange peel. Let steep 2–5 min.

    5.    Serve Warm: Remove peels if desired. Pour into mugs. Enjoy immediately.
